This evening Susan will facilitate a presentation and meditation that will offer you simple ways to do this. She will be sharing from her own experiences on how nature and animals have taught her how to enjoy life and how they can be a way for us human beings to move from doing to being. Facing our fears, accepting the moment and being playful in life are some of the topics that will be covered tonight. Reinventing the Body, Resurrecting the Soul:
How to Create a New You
by Deepak Chopra, October 2009
Fifteen years after his #1 New York Times bestseller, Ageless Body, Timeless Mind, Deepak Chopra revisits “the forgotten miracle” – the body’s infinite capacity for change and renewal. You cannot take advantage of this miracle, Chopra says, unless you are willing to completely reinvent your body, transforming it from a material object to a dynamic, flowing process. “Your physical body is a fiction,” Dr. Chopra states. Every cell is made up of two invisible ingredients: awareness and energy.
Using Deepak Chopra’s ten steps to wholeness, you can harness those basic elements to change the distorted energy patterns that are the root cause of aging, infirmity, and disease.
Transformation can’t stop with the body, however; it must involve the soul. The soul – seemingly invisible, aloof, and apart from the material world – actually creates the body. Only by going to the level of the soul will you access your full potential, bringing more intelligence, creativity, and awareness into every aspect of your life.
Reinventing the Body, Resurrecting the Soul delivers ten breakthroughs – five for the body, five for the soul – that lead to self-transformation. In clear, accessible terms, Deepak Chopra shows us how to commit ourselves to deeper awareness, focus on relationships instead of consumption, embrace every day as a new world, and transcend the obstacles that afflict body and mind.
Deepak Chopra has inspired millions with his profound teachings over the years. His bestselling books have explored the mind-body connection and the power of spirit. With his latest book, he invites you to experience with him the miracles that unfold when we connect the body directly to the awesome mysteries that give life meaning – directly to the soul. When you have completed this journey, after reinventing your body and resurrecting your soul, the ecstasy of true wholeness becomes possible for the very first time.

Tea of the Month
Georgia Peach Rooibos
| Country of Origin: |
South Africa |
| Grade: |
Choice Grade #1 |
| Cup Characteristics: |
Absolutely exquisite! Superb mouth watering sweet peach notes create a taste symphony. |
| Ingredients: |
Luxury rooibos, Blackberry leaves, Calendula petals, Natural flavors.
|
Have you ever tasted a Georgia peach? Super sweet, tangy and juicy, the peach is Georgia’s best-loved export and one of summer’s tastiest treats. The natural sweetness of the fruit makes it a perfect addition to our South African Rooibos. And why is that? Because the inherent slight sweetness of Rooibos (Latin: Aspalathus linearis) is perfectly complimented by that of the peach and creates an herbal tea that is packed with subtle nuances and a complex flavor profile.
Like all herbal teas, this Rooibos based blend is caffeine free. But did you know that Rooibos has many other health benefits as well? South African studies conducted over the years have determined that Rooibos tea is high in iron, potassium, zinc, manganese and sodium. As such, any Rooibos based drink is not only great for sipping morning, noon, and night, but for the actively health conscious out there, it also makes a fantastic post workout refresher. But even if your most strenuous exercise is quietly sitting in a low-slung porch swing in the midday sun, the benefits of drinking this tea are still positive.
Brew yourself a pot, enjoy it hot, and savor the aromas of fresh peaches. It also goes without saying that this tea, poured over ice is simply fantastic. Try some today - as you recline, listening to the ice cubes tinkling in your glass, the condensation cooling your hand, we’re sure you’ll find the peachy flavor in your cup to be at once soothing, relaxing, and revitalizing.
|
Hot tea brewing method: Bring freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil. Place 1 teaspoon of tea for each cup into the teapot. Pour the boiling water into the teapot. Cover and let steep for 3-7 minutes according to taste (the longer the steeping time the stronger the tea). Even though milk and a dash of sugar help enhance the flavor character on this tea, it is perfectly acceptable to consume this tea ‘straight-up’
Iced tea brewing method: (to make 1 liter/quart): Place 6 teaspoons of tea into a teapot or heat resistant pitcher. Pour 1 1/4 cups of freshly boiled water over the tea. Steep for 5 minutes. Quarter fill a serving pitcher with cold water. Pour the tea into your serving pitcher straining the leaves. Add ice and top-up the pitcher with cold water. Garnish and sweeten to taste. [A rule of thumb when preparing fresh brewed iced tea is to double the strength of hot tea since it will be poured over ice and diluted with cold water]. Please note that this tea may tend to go cloudy or ‘milky’ when poured over ice; a perfectly normal characteristic of some high quality black teas and nothing to worry about!

Spotlight on Services: Thai Massage
Thai Massage is a spiritual practice dating back 2500 Years. Generally Thai Therapy is used as an outlet for decreasing stress in the body by pushing on certain points of the body to exchange any unwanted fluids or gasses that may be harmful to the body. Manipulation of the tissues creates heightened exchanges between the tissues and strips the body of unwanted toxicity. This is why drinking water after and during a session becomes important.
Most strains on the body, and even our posture, can be caused by both the muscles and connective tissues shortening; thereby restricting our range of motion. The movements of Thai therapy create softening and lengthening of the tissues, restoring as well as increasing movement, range of motion and decreasing pain. It is thought that manipulation of these tissues can remove energy blockages in the body, increasing the body’s energy and revitalizing the charkas to promote higher vitality.
Thai massage is performed on a padded mat on the floor; no oil is applied, so you will stay fully dresses. Please wear clothing that allows you to stretch comfortably.

Fear or Love?
By Susan Verhoogt, Reiki Master & Intuitive Life Coach @ the Divine Mine
Most people in Western society are busy running, always in a hurry although nobody really knows why. We are always rushed to get to the next moment, trying to make our seemingly important deadlines. In doing so we don’t have time to enjoy life now as we are too busy to rush to the next moment where we believe happiness lies. “Once I get this done, I’ll be happy. Once I’ve achieved that, I’ve finally made it and my life will be well.” Sometimes it takes a ‘life threatening’ illness to realize that our life is not being lived to the fullest. Although sometimes people will make life-altering changes after such an experience, it doesn’t have to come to that. We can choose to stop now, take a breather and start to actually live.
This rushed way of living is through a mind-based sense of self and is completely societal. There are cultures, like Tibet or India, where people have never even heard of depression and phobias. Can you imagine what life would be like if we would not live in fear anymore? Do you know that it is absolutely possible – NOW? All you have to do is make up your mind. Decide right now that you won’t live in fear any longer. Bring awareness to your life, look at your life, your reactions and conditions through the eyes of an angel and notice where fear is ruling your life. Once you notice it, allow it to be there, embrace it fully. Let it be transformed by awareness. We do have a choice! But we cannot make a choice if we are just reacting and make unconscious decisions.
How to move from living our life in fear to love? Eliminate sources, like watching the news, that bring fear into your life. We believe we have to watch the news and stay informed, but for what exactly? How will this enrich your life and contribute to inner and world peace? We are being fed fear massively through the media and we don’t even second guess the information we are being fed. Instead, surround yourself with uplifting quotes, beauty, wisdom and people to empower yourself instead. Face your fears and free yourself, once and for all!
"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.'" -
Eleanor Roosevelt

Would you like to transform stress into power?
By Kristyne Dahl, Hypnotherapist & Spiritual Counselor @ the Divine Mine

Everyone knows firsthand what it’s like to have stress, these days it seems everyone is feeling stress for one reason or ten. What most people don’t think about is that stress and worry are habits, which is actually good news. You see habits can be changed. You have the power to make any and all changes you need to live a better life, and you can do it now.
If you desire a change in your life relating to stress, it’s time to begin to use your mind in a conscious way but in conjunction with your subconscious mind. In other words it’s time to use your minds the way they are meant to be used…to empower you. To do this you must understand a few things:
- You can use your mind to make change quickly, naturally and easily if you want to,
- Your subconscious mind is visual so use that your advantage,
- Make a commitment to transforming your stress into power, and then recommit to it often (at least 10 times a day or more),
- Understand that you get to decide what thoughts you have, so make better choices about the thoughts you allow yourself to have,
- Redirect your focus when you find yourself slipping in to the stressful energy or thought pattern,
- Surround yourself with reminders (that is visual reminders such as pictures, audio reminders such as songs or music, feeling reminders like a warm blanket that reminds you of peace, calm & comfort),
- And do anything else that is a positive healthy influence for you.
I recently read Wayne Dyer’s book “Change your thoughts, change your life.” I enjoyed it. It got me thinking about how you change your thoughts, I know from my past experiences knowing how to change the thoughts was half the battle. So I began to think about my approach to dealing with stress personally. I spend a great deal of thought and effort on what to surround myself with including, people, places, things and situations. I choose to empower myself by making a commitment and then using the tools available to me to help me simplify my life. You see in simplifying you begin to solve the problem. I personally need constant reminders to be focused on what I want, which is of course a sense of calm, peace, harmony & simplicity. I do this by surrounding myself with visuals that enable me to focus on just that, so every time I turn around there is something else to remind me and reinforce within me what I am always striving for or at least what I need to spend my energy focusing on. These visuals motivate me, inspire me, and most importantly aid me in redirecting my focus to a positive and far more empowering one than the alternative ever can. . And of course for all of you thinking it, all of my visuals have glitter on them too.
So remember focusing on stress and worry does you no good, it simply causes you more stress and worries. If you need help to eliminate stress or tension in your life, I would love to help. Or if you feel inclined to work professionally helping others to release stress and tension in their lives than I would love to help you with too. In fact, if stress is an issue for you or your loved ones I invite you to join me and others of like mind to participate in our Stress/Worry Management Workshop &/or Certificate Training Course offered at the store in the month of November. Invest in yourself and give yourself a chance to gather the tools you need to maximize your potential, sooner rather than later.
Kristyne will be facilitating the following meditations this month: Full Moon Meditation on Monday November 2nd, a Crystal Clear Monthly Meditation with the Angels on Sunday, November 8th, and a Kids Meditation on Saturday, November 28th. As well Kristyne will be teaching the following workshops: Crystal Clear Communicating with Your Angels & Guides on Friday November 13th, Worry and Stress Management Workshop on Monday November 16th and a Worry and Stress Management Hypnotherapy Certification Course on Saturday & Sunday November 21st and 22nd.
