Quite frequently our youngsters today are children who are very sensitive and intuitive. Many children have a hard time finding a place in society to 'fit in'. The children - who are often referred to as Indigo's, Crystals and Rainbow children - are often misdiagnosed with ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) or ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder) or autism and are often misunderstood and be thought of as 'problematic' and are being put on drugs like Ritalin to keep them 'under control'.

The ingress of the Sun into the sign of Capricorn rings in the winter season.

Generally, when the Sun (the central life force of our solar system) enters into a sign it affects every one of us in some way, when it passes into the sign of Capricorn it is a time when we bring our focus into the responsibilities in our lives, order, organization and goals.

Capricorn is the sign that reminds us of both duty and honour. Capricorn is the sign of the great builder, when you see the Pyramids of Egypt or Mexico , the Great Wall of China , or the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco , the spirit of Capricorn lives in all of the great engineering and technical wonders of the world. Capricorn tries to build bridges and fill in the gaps, it does this not only in the physical sense, but also on a more emotional and spiritual level as well. Wherever Capricorn sees something that is broken in our lives be it a relationship, our careers or health, Capricorn tries to motivate us into fixing it. And how? By creating a structure, a form, in other words... A goal. Capricorn is like the engineer who is faced with the problem of creating a vision, the engineer works around this problem by first creating a blueprint. The blueprint is likened to setting a goal. In other words when we are faced with a problem, don't sit around concentrating and putting time and energy into the problem, rather Capricorn tries to remind us to concentrate on the solution instead. Far too often do we find ourselves thinking about the problem and not enough on the solution.

It is no coincidence that the period of Capricorn occurs at the beginning of the New Year in the Gregorian calendar. Think of the term "New Years resolution". The New Year is a period that is supposed to herald in a "new" beginning, a time of self improvement and a setting of goals. This is a time to lay out a blueprint for many areas of our lives that need improvement. Also Capricorn reminds us about being more responsible for our own actions as well as for all sorts of responsibilities that we have in our lives. So how do we take care of so many tasks? Capricorn also teaches us about organization. Before we can accomplish anything we must first learn how to organize our thoughts and actions. Imagine how difficult walking would be if there was no organization or rhythm to our steps, the result would be that we stumble. Communication would be impossible if everybody just spoke random words without an organized coherence. So Capricorn teaches that everything must occur in steps, one thing at a time, and in doing so great things can be accomplished.

Capricorn will govern over the 5th house region this month indicating a time that is meant to focus on our creativity and expression. Take the time to explore creative pursuits in your life, this is also a time when many people may feel the urge to gamble or engage in sports. Attention on children will also be highlighted this month. This will also be a month to enhance your self-esteem and confidence.

When we want to take a peak at what could be major issues in the outside world we must use what is called mundane Astrology and look at the houses in a chart for information. Saturn the ruler of Capricorn will be in the 12th house region this month which can indicate issues surrounding hospitals, prisons, charities or crime related news may make headlines. Also aviation or motion picture related news may also come up.
